Jason Roth is the Founder and CEO of Payroll Experts, leading the company since its launch in 2007 and guiding both strategic direction and day-to-day operations.
He is committed to delivering trusted workforce management solutions and a high-touch client experience rooted in accuracy, accountability, and long-term partnerships. A Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) since 1995, Jason brings industry experience dating back to 1986, with a background spanning operations and business development. His focus is building practical solutions that improve efficiency and strengthen client organizations.
ALEXIA MATAK
PRESIDENT (Industry Start: 2002)
Alexia Matak is President of Payroll Experts, a privately held payroll and HCM firm headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona and a proud partner of the UKG Ready platform. With 20+ years in the payroll and HR industry and Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) credentials, Alexia has guided 3,000+ organizations - from first-time employers to complex, multi-location companies with thousands of employees - through selecting, implementing, and optimizing payroll, time, and HR solutions.
Alexia brings rare, end-to-end, hands-on experience across the full client lifecycle: leading discovery, translating requirements into solution design, supporting sales engineering and demos, and then going deep in implementation - HCM configuration, workflow design, reporting needs, and end-user training that drives real adoption.
She also leads marketing and client experience strategy, creating memorable, high-touch campaigns and thoughtfully curated engagement packages (including adoption tools) that keep clients educated, connected, and excited to use what they’ve implemented.

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (Industry Start: 2012)
As Chief Operating Officer at a leading UKG Ready licensee, JD oversees Product Deployment, Client Support, Tax, and Finance to ensure exceptional service and scalable client solutions.
With a focus on clarity, accountability, and scalable growth, JD brings structure to cross‑functional operations and empowers teams to execute at their highest level. He champions the EOS framework to strengthen processes, align priorities, and remove friction so teams can do meaningful work that moves the business forward. JD focuses on operational excellence that directly elevates the client experience. His approach turns complexity into clarity and builds long‑term loyalty by ensuring every client feels confident in their partnership.

Jose Machado is the Director of Client Support at Payroll Experts and leads the team responsible for day-to-day client service and long-term support success. With decades of HR and payroll industry experience, Jose is known for a steady, solution-minded approach and a commitment to continuous learning.
